Had a good Christmas – shared a huge bird with neighbours – a goose stuffed with a chicken stuffed with a peasant stuffed with a quail, boned and stitched back together.

Tesco is planning to boost its presence in rural Britain by opening up in down-at-heel village communities. The anti-Tesco brigade will no doubt be up in arms, but at least the retailer is opening shops. With such a number of boarded up outlets, these days most high streets look like Coventry after the blitz…

Looking forward to this week’s ‘3D week’ on Channel 4. Apparently a number of advertisers will be running 3D ads too, during such classics as ‘Flesh for Frankenstein’ and ‘Friday the 13th Part III’. Hmmm can’t wait!

Apparently baby-boomers can see through the ‘£3 a month’ charity brigade, according to new research. To be fair, though, most people can, but if it is used as part of a wider strategy to raise vital funds for good causes, who’s going to complain?

Oh dear, another series of I’m a Celebrity… looms and not an A-lister in sight. Still, at least the charity Malaria No More UK will receive some much needed cash from the show. You have to wonder though, where does all the other money go?

Did you know, the big boss at AOL reckons all advertisers should ditch traditional media like TV and spend their money online. Is it me or is that just a tad biased?
